I am, Two Spirit (Two Spirit Woman). In the Lakota Language, I am described as being a Winkte. While I am not American Native, I was given the name of Two Spirit Woman in 1992 by an Elder of the Lakota Nation. Little did I know at the time of the gifts that are bestowed upon a Two Spirit Person.
As I walk the path of the Rainbow Medicine Wheel, these gifts are being revealed and have become a part of who I really am. Tiny steps in that which the Creator wishes for everyone of us. That is, to become a whole, complete person.
The Crossed Feathers denote a Two Spirit Person. The Pink Feather is the Female and The Blue Feather is the Male. The Female Spirit is dominate in my case, thus the name, Two Spirit Woman.
